In Bharat and around the World, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has completed construction of the world’s highest motorable road, smashing Bolivia’s previous record. This road, designed at a height of 19,300 feet, passes through the Umlingla Pass in jap Ladakh, wherever it’s placed. There are many cities within the Chumar sector of jap Ladakh that will be connected by this fifty-two klick blacktop road.

Umling La Pass is that the world’s highest motorable road

Taking over because the highest motorable road is that the road at Umling La Pass, that 19,300ft is high. At 18,953 feet, it’s more than the Uturuncu Volcano Road in Bolivia. Leh’s Khardung La Pass is that the highest motorable road within the world, at 17,582 feet.

Since the South Base Camp in Nepal and the North Base Camp in Tibet are both at 17,598 feet above sea level, the road through Umling La is actually higher than the Mount Everest base camps. 17700-foot Siachen Glacier is higher than the new road.

Umling La Pass will now provide a direct route from Leh to Chisumle and Demchok, as well as a new connection to the Chumar sector of Eastern Ladakh. Ladakh’s socio-economic conditions are also expected to improve as a result of the road, according to reports.

As a direct alternative route from Leh to Chisumle and Demchok, the Ministry of Defence said it would be beneficial to the local population. Ministry officials say Ladakh’s tourism, as well as its socio-economic situation, will benefit from this new road project.
