Dimensions and Clearance

A key area where the MG Hector is better than the area is in its dimension and clearance. The Hector has a length of 4,655 mm while the Harrier has a length of 4,598 mm. By being longer than the Harrier, the Hector provides for more leg room for its passengers and has the capacity to carry a greater load. With regards to wheelbase and height, the Hector is also way ahead of the Harrier. The Hector has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm and a height of 1,760 mm while the harrier has a wheelbase of 2,741 mm and height of 1,706 mm. This results in the Hector having greater clearance than the Harrier.

Another area where the Hector surpasses the Harrier is with regards to the Engine. The Hector provides a lot of options with regards to the engine. It has a turbocharged 1.5 litre petrol engine with a 6 speed manual gear box. It also provides for a turbocharged 2.0 litre diesel motor engine and a 48V segment first Hybrid System that allows the car to boast of a greater level of energy efficiency. The Harrier on the other hand only has one option with regard to the engine which is the turbocharged Kryotec 2.0 litre diesel engine.
