Tata Altroz XE + is now available in India at a price of Rs. 6.35 lakh.

A new Tata Altroz XE + variant hatchback is also available, starting at Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new trim level replaces the XM trim and is one level above the entry-level XE trim.

What’s New in the Tata Altroz XE+?

The normally aspirated petrol (Rs 6.35 lakh) and turbo-diesel engines are both available in the new XE+ grade (Rs 7.55 lakh). It’s Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000 more expensive than the XE petrol and diesel models, respectively. Over the base XE trim, the XE+ gets a 3.5-inch Harman infotainment system with four speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, FM and AM radio, a USB port, a fast USB charger, A keyless entry system, manually adjustable and electrically foldable ORVMs, automatic climate control, and follow me home and find me headlight functions are just a few of the features available.

Over the new XE+ grade, the XM+ (Rs. 6.85 lakh for petrol and Rs. 8 lakh for diesel) adds features like steering-mounted controls, smartphone connectivity, voice help, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and more. Dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, Cornering Stability Control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and other safety features are included.

When compared to the previous XM trim, the XE+ trim removes a rear parcel shelf, steel rim wheel covers, and ORVMs with motorised adjustment.

Tata Altroz XE + is becoming more expensive.

Tata has also used this occasion to modify Altroz’s prices. All other Altroz versions have witnessed price rises ranging from Rs 400 to Rs 8,500, with the exception of the base XE petrol, which has been cut by Rs 10,000. This is Altroz’s second price increase this year, with the first occurring in August.

Tata Altroz XE +engine and transmission specifications

An 86hp, 1.2-litre normally aspirated petrol engine, a 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine are all available in the Tata Altroz. A 5-speed manual transmission is available for all three engines. Altroz does not currently have an automatic transmission option.

In comparison, the Tata Altroz XE+ lacks some amenities and costs Rs. 15,000 less than the original XM. Altroz competes in the highly competitive premium hatchback sector against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo, and Honda Jazz, and is one of the safest cars money can buy in the sub-Rs. 10 lakh segment, with a five-star Global NCAP rating.
