Another round of spy photos from the Tata Nexon facelift testing has improved our understanding of its interior. The SUV will probably debut in August 2023.
With 14,000 units sold in March 2023, Nexon continued to lead sales for Tata Motors, contributing 33% of the brand’s total sales. However, the SUV needs some improvements as it has been three years since the last one.

Design
The updated front for the facelift will be inspired by Tata Motors’ Curvv SUV Coupe Concept. The Curv Concept is a dynamic and contemporary SUV technology that perfectly balances the two by combining the hardness of an SUV with a Coupe’s grace.
The facelift includes new headlight and bumper designs. The front and back bumpers will be modified, and the headlamps will have a split design. With roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, new LED taillights with sequential turn indicators, and an integrated spoiler. Behind the latter is a rear wiper that is concealed; this is a feature that was last seen on the new Tucson. The car’s rear will receive a makeover and get Tata Safari-style tail lamps.
The facelift’s cabin will have a wider sunroof and will take design cues from Tata Motors’ upcoming vehicles.
Interior
New spy images of the facelifted Tata Nexon have recently appeared online, allowing us to get a glimpse inside the interior of the forthcoming SUV. The Curvv concept from Tata Motors will inspire both the inside and exterior. The facelift’s dual-tone interior is visible in the spy photos. A significant interior makeover and an improvement in quality and features are suggested by the photographs. These facelift photos provide a great view of the modernized interiors loaded with the newest amenities. The surfaces are all piano black, while the seat covers are purple. Together, they give the cabin a posh appearance.
Infotainment
The most recent photographs that have been leaked online clearly depict a revised dashboard with a 2-spoke steering wheel, a feature that was initially provided to the Concept SUV. The entire dashboard is probably going to get a facelift, as well as Tata’s new 10.25-inch touchscreen, which is expected. New touch panels will be installed in the center console.
Single-Spoke Steering Wheel
The redesigned two-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom is the most noticeable aspect that has been captured in the spy photos. A feature that has been directly borrowed from the Curvv idea, there are a few toggle switches at either end of the steering wheel along with several touch-sensitive haptic buttons.
Additionally, it makes it quite evident that the equipment and quality will be improved. It will include a brand-new digital instrument cluster similar to the ones found in the new Harrier and Safari Red Dark versions.
A perfectly incorporated backlit Tata emblem is the nicest feature of the two-spoke steering wheel that has been provided to the concept. A similar logo should be installed on the steering wheel of the facelift model.

ADAS
Tata Safari and Tata Harrier both include ADAS safety technology, as is well known. The pricier variants of the Nexon SUV from Tata Motors can come with the same feature. If ADAS is added to the makeover, Nexon will be the first product in its segment to do so.
Transmission and Engine
Recently, BS 6 Phase 2 standards were met by all Tata models, including Nexon. A new 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that was displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo could replace the petrol variant. The 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine is anticipated to produce 125 bhp of power and 225 Nm of peak torque, which is an increase of 5 bhp and 55 Nm over the present engine. The 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 horsepower will remain in the Nexon facelift. If the automatic transmission will be offered for the Nexon facelift or not is not entirely clear.
Release Date
Tata Nexon Facelift is anticipated to be on sale in the second quarter of this year.

Around the same time, Tata will begin producing The Nexon EV facelift. It intends to produce 5,000 units each month.

Recently, Maruti Suzuki introduced the new Fronx, which will compete with the Tata Nexon and has prices ranging from Rs 7.47 lakh to Rs 13.14 lakh.
