New Safari XTA plus variant priced at Rs 20.08 lakh

Tata Motors has introduced a new Safari XTA plus variant in India priced at Rs 20.08 lakh (ex-showroom). The Safari SUV is built on the OMEGARC architecture, which is derived from Land Rover’s legendary D8 platform. In addition to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Safari XTA+ has a panoramic sunroof.

The new XTA+ costs Rs 87,000 less than the XZA, which is priced at Rs 20.96 lakh (ex-showroom). The XTA+ trim adds projector headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, iRA connected car technology, cruise control, ambient lighting, rain-sensing wipers, and a push-start/stop button to the list of standard equipment.

It is powered by a 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine that generates 168bhp at 3,750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1,750-rpm. There is a six-speed torque converter mated to this engine. Android Auto and Apple Carplay, eight speakers (four speakers and four tweeters), a reverse parking camera, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and a reverse parking camera are just some of the features that come with the new vehicle. In addition to the push-button start, the vehicle has automatic climate control, rain-sensitive wipers, and more.

There are dual airbags, ABS and EBD, brake disc wiping, and hill hold control in the XTA+ variant. There is also a reverse parking camera and tire pressure monitoring system.

Also included are features such as mood lighting, cruise control, and a tire pressure monitoring system in the Safari SUV. Safety features include advanced ESP, dual front airbags, and fog lamps on the Safari XTA+.
