Our economy has taken on a huge toll in terms of financial losses as a result of the current pandemic. At this time, many Indians were considering swapping goods made by foreign firms to the products made by Indian firms. The shift would allow the economy to recover. Therefore, as far as cars are concerned, we look at the companies and the products that are 100 percent produced in our country. We are offering a segment-wise breakdown of the goods produced in India.

Hatchback

The Tata Tiago comes into the picture in the hatchback segment. Being a Tata car, the company manufactures all of the parts locally. With Rs 4.60-6.60 lakhs (ex-showroom), it is also economically priced. It only gets a gasoline engine and no diesel option, but the gasoline is offered with both a manual and automatic transmission. It’s also one of its segment’s safest cars receiving a four-star NCAP rating. Tiago is available in 8 variants. Of these 8 models, five are manual and three are AMT.

Compact SUV

SUVs or Sports Utility Vehicles are the new members of India’s passenger mobility brigade. It is the most common segment in today’s industry. Indian consumers prefer SUV to sedans because by-products from all manufacturers have flooded this market. Mahindra XUV300 is a product that is entirely manufactured in our country, from the many options you can choose.

Electric vehicles

EV is small, but promising in India. Although the infrastructure for electric cars is not enough, people are still in demand. In India there are currently only three hybrid long-range vehicles, all of which are SUVs.

The Tata Nexon EV is one car from these vehicles produced completely in India. This car gives you a five-star security rating. In addition, you have an impressive 312 km range. The vehicle also costs Rs 14-16 lakhs (ex-showroom), at a reasonable price.

The Mahindra Marazzo is one such car in the MPV segment which is entirely manufactured in India. It is the only car that could hand the Maruti Ertiga the competition.

On the inside, the car is very spacious and also very comfortable for long journeys. It costs 10- 14.76 lakhs (ex-showroom) between rs.

Premium luxury cars

Jaguar and Land Rover cars would be the preferred choice in this area, although there are no Indian manufacturers in that sector. This is because JLR belongs to no one else but Tata.
