The updated Kodiaq will be offered in three trim levels: Style, Sportline, and L&K, with a petrol engine as the only option.

Skoda is poised to revive the Kodiaq in India on January 10th, nearly two years after it was discontinued. Skoda’s three-row SUV is scheduled to return with a makeover and in a petrol-only version, according to fresh specifications. Skoda will come in three different versions.

  • Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine with 190 horsepower.
  • All-wheel drive is included as standard.
  • Skoda will offer three different versions of the facelifted Kodiaq.

According to documents filed with the Delhi Transport Department, the redesigned Kodiaq would be offered in three trim levels: Style, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The Style and L&K trims of the Kodiaq are familiar to Indians, as they were available on the pre-facelift model as well.

The Sportline model is noteworthy since it is the first time the Kodiaq has received it in India. The Sportline trim on the Superb, in comparison to the other two options, gives the vehicle a sportier look with darkened exterior trim pieces and a darker inside upholstery finish.

On the global Kodiaq facelift, a larger 9.2-inch infotainment screen is available as an optional extra, and it might be provided here as well. Details about the new Skoda Kodiaq engine

The file also backs up what we’ve already stated concerning engine specifications. Unlike the discontinued model, which was exclusively available in diesel, the Kodiaq facelift will only be available in petrol. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol engine that produces 190 horsepower and is shared with the Octavia and Superb, as well as a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Unlike sedans, which feature two-wheel drive, the Kodiaq will come standard with all-wheel drive.

Facelift competition for the Skoda Kodiaq

Due to VW’s cancellation of the Tiguan Allspace, the Kodiaq will have no direct competitors in India. The three-row SUV, on the other hand, is likely to face competition from the recently released five-seater Tiguan facelift, as well as a more direct competitor in the form of the Compass-based Jeep Meridian, which is set to debut later this year “as read and reported by www.autocarindia.com”.
