In October of this year, Mini India teased the new Cooper Electric SE. In October 2021, around the conclusion of the month, the firm began collecting pre-orders for the car for a fee of one lakh rupees. Within a few hours after the announcement, the initial batch of the car, which consisted of 30 units, was completely sold out.

As the name implies, the new Cooper Electric SE will be an electrified counterpart of its ICE-powered sibling. A 32.6kWh battery pack, which claims to provide 181bhp and 270Nm of torque, would power this vehicle. On a single charge, the battery pack will provide about 270 kilometres of range. The car is also said to race from a standstill to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds.

Charge time for Cooper Electric SE’s 11kW and 50kW chargers is 2.5 hours and 35 minutes, respectively, from zero to 80 per cent.
