The new Jeep Grand Cherokee will be unveiled this month. The new SUV will be unveiled on September 29th. This new Grand Cherokee will be the fifth-generation model, and it will include a 4xe plug-in hybrid model. The new Grand Cherokee was supposed to make its debut this year at the New York Auto Show, but the event was cancelled due to the pandemic. To build anticipation for the arrival of the new Grand Cherokee, Jeep has released a teaser video on its social media platforms. This video revealed some details about the upcoming model. The video only focuses on the SUV’s front end styling. The Jeep signature 7-slot grille will be present, as expected. It will have a pair of sleek LED headlamps with LED DRLs, just like any other vehicle nowadays.

Jeep was spotted testing a three-row SUV in India, which is rumoured to be the recently launched Commander. Grand Cherokee, on the other hand, may take a little longer to reach the Indian shores.

Jeep is getting ready to test drive the updated Grand Cherokee SUV this week. The Grand Cherokee 2021 will go on sale on Wednesday, according to the automaker based in the United States (September 29).

The next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, which will be the model’s fifth generation, is expected to be the carmaker’s best off-road offering to date.

What’s more, Jeep will launch the Grand Cherokee with a plug-in hybrid version, which will be the company’s first.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee L was introduced in the United States in January of this year. To a large extent, the new generation Grand Cherokee will share design elements with that model. There may be minor differences in the wheelbases available for the Grand Cherokee L.

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will most likely be available with a five-seat layout spread across two rows. The dashboard will most likely be dominated by a large 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and an even larger 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is expected to be powered by a Pentastar 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine capable of producing 290 bhp and 352 Nm of peak torque, as well as a 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine capable of producing 357 bhp and 529 Nm of torque. The engines will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. These are the same engine options available on the Grand Cherokee L. The 4xe plug-in hybrid variant is likely to use the same powertrain as the Wrangler 4xe, which can produce 375 horsepower and 637 Newton-meters of peak torque.

Jeep was spotted testing a three-row SUV in India, which is rumoured to be the recently launched Commander. Grand Cherokee, on the other hand, may take a little longer to reach the Indian shores. According to reports, the Jeep Grand Cherokee will be available in Indian markets in 2022. Jeep will most likely import the Grand Cherokee as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle, similar to the Wrangler, which means it will be assembled in India “as read and reported by auto.hindustantimes.com”.
