Performance

If you are in a BMW, it is likely that you like to drive yourself and want something that is exciting. Now, whatever type of car or fuel you choose, both cars are offered with 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engines.

In fact, the 320ds and the X120ds on diesel front have the same engine in the same mode – 190 hp power and 400Nm torque coupled with automatic 8-speed gearboxes.

Yet while the petrol engines X1 (20i) manufactures192PS/280Nm, the 3-series (30i) produces 258PS/400Nm significantly higher. The 3-series also comes with a fine old-fashioned rear-drive, but the X1 comes with a front-drive only. The latter update no longer provides an all-wheel drive.

Drive Experience

Both cars are able to easily handle daily traffic and road travel. Yet the 3 Series is much superior when it comes to the genuinely fun-to-drive experience. The train feels more sensitive, the car is agiler itself, faces no trouble with body rolling, and also provides better balance through curves/corners.

The 3 Series is a sporty, ground-level sedan. This can prove quite a hassle in our country, where bad roads and poorly designed speed breakers appear in no way. This is an advantage of the X1’s ground clearance. Therefore, the X1 is more easily removed. The X1 is much more Indian-friendly compared with the 3 Series which offers a significantly stiffer ride.

Features and Practicality

The 3 range is considerably more costly than the X1 range. The 320d doesn’t offer the bigger benefit, although the gap in fuel can be due to the 330i’s better tuning. Do you get more price premium equipment, then?

As you can see, although the BMW 3 series offers several features common to both vehicles, it is a stronger technology package than the X1. With the X1 its panoramic sunroof and more convenient interior are the primary advantages.

And this is a symbol of whom the X1 is. The BMW X1 provides the entire family with a more spacious cabin and better access because the seats are higher from the deck, and a more functional vehicle “as read and inspired by a report done by cardekho.com”.
