In India, BMW just debuted the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition. This is a special version of the sedan that includes some additional amenities above the standard model, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
The Gran Limousine is essentially an extended wheelbase version of the ordinary 3 Series sedan, as you may have guessed. The BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille is now the focal point of this unique version. It is included as a standard feature.
A Crystal gearshift knob, ‘Vernasca’ leather upholstery, comfort seats in the front, rear seat headrest cushions, and a panoramic sunroof are among the other notable interior elements. Then there’s three-zone automated climate control, a digital instrument panel, wireless charging, ambient lighting, an automatic tailgate, and even Parking Assist with Reverse Assist on this Iconic Edition. New headrest cushions for second-row passengers, a coat hanger with the base carrier, a crystal gear shift knob with an illuminated ‘3’ model logo, comfort seats in the front, and ‘Welcome Light Carpet’ puddle lamps that project from the side sills.
The BMW Service Inclusive packages for the 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic edition start at Rs 48,262 for the petrol and Rs 65,018 for the diesel. Additionally, for Rs 38,114, purchasers can purchase a three-year/unlimited mileage extended warranty for both models.
Engine and Gearbox
A 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 255bhp and 400Nm of torque powers the petrol version of this Iconic Edition. The oil-burner, on the other hand, receives a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with 188bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both engines have three driving modes: Comfort, ECO PRO, and Sport, and are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition starts at Rs 53.5 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 54.9 lakh for the diesel version, ex-showroom. The debut coincides with the start of the festive season in India, and deliveries are expected to begin soon.
BMW 3 Series Gran Sedan Iconic Edition: Rivals
Like the standard 3 Series, the 3 Series Gran Sedan also competes with other luxury sedans such as the Audi A, Mercedes Benz C-Class, Volvo S60, and Jaguar XE. However, because it is larger than previous models and offers a more luxurious rear-seat experience, the Grand Sedan is more expensive than its competitors “as read and reported by www.carwale.com”.
