What’s the Gran Coupe of the BMW 2 Series and what’s it going to compete in India?
For the next Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan and the Audi A3 sedan in our market, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé will take on under the 3-Series spot. The 2 Series Gran Coupe consists of a front-wheel-drive platform and is based on the BMW X1 SUV.
The two-series Gran Coupe is the newest BMW styling treatment inside and features an elegant pillar-free door and a slightly lower-slung four-door. The inclined roof on the back means that the front room is not as big as you would get in a more traditional sedan, but the legroom is very good for a car of that size.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe size
The Gran Coupé Series BMW 2 measures 4,526 mm-23 mm short than the next A-Class Limousine of Mercedes-Benz. It is 1.800 mm longer, with 143 cm behind the interior compared to 137 cm in the Mercedes. However, the Gran Coupe of 2-series, which measures 2.729 mm between wheels, is shorter than the Mercedes wheel foundation. A good 430-liter boot is also provided to the BMW but some space in the Indian-specific car can be eaten with the spare tire.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Features
The new BMW 2 Series Grand Cup features a kidney grill signature with all the LED lighting, double-tone alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch MID device, double-zone air-conditioning control, engine start-stop button moreover has electrically adjustable front seats and cruise control. The Gran Coupe BMW 2 Series will compete with the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class limousine after launch.
Gran Coupe engines of the BMW 2 Series
In BMW, the 2-series Gran Coupe will be launched using a 190hp 2.0 L diesel engine, and the BMW 220d Gran Coupe will be launched. The 220i Gran Coupe, with its petrol-powered 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine, is scheduled to join the line up a little later.

Prices for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe in India are expected to start around Rs 35 lakh with prices for the highest-end models up to approximately Rs 38 lakh (ex-showroom) “as reported by autocarindia.com.”
