The Force Gurkha 5 door for 2022 is in the works. It’s based on the three-door Gurkha that’s now on the market in India. The success of the three-door Gurkha and three-door Thar has convinced Force and Mahindra that there is a market for five-door versions as well. Both manufacturers want to release five-door versions of their current SUVs. The Gurkha 5 door will be the first of the two to be released, possibly later this year. The Thar 5 door is set to open in 2023 or 2024. The Force Gurkha 5 door SUV has been spotted in new spy pictures, revealing some new elements.

Its off-roading stance is enhanced by prominent wheel arches and bodywork. Similar to the 3 doors, Force Motors will sell an accessory kit for the new Gurkha 5 door. There will be a roof-mounted luggage carrier, snorkel, and a spare wheel installed on the tailgate.

The same 2.6-liter diesel engine that powers the three-door variant will power the Force Gurkha in 2022. It may, however, be upgraded to produce more torque and power. It will also have a four-wheel drive and manual differential locks operated by levers. As of yet, no price estimates have been released, however, the Gurkha 5 door could cost around Rs 1 lakh more than the 3 doors Gurkha.
